About World Standards Day
Since 1970 World Standards Day has been celebrated worldwide to increase awareness of the role that standards play in the global economy. In the U.S., the annual World Standards Day celebration is organized by representatives from the standards and conformity assessment community and co-chaired by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). For 2016, ASTM International is serving as the administering organization.
