In response to feedback from members, IRCA (the International Register of Certificated Auditors) and its parent organization, the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI), have produced a new code of conduct for IRCA and CQI members. It replaced the existing IRCA code of conduct on January 2, 2015.
“The code of conduct sets out the high standards that quality professionals, including auditors meet, a mark of quality for their behaviours and ethics,” IRCA states on its website. “By agreeing to this code of conduct, you will be demonstrating your commitment to the high standards of behaviour expected of IRCA certificated auditors. It shows your personal commitment to continuing your professional development, that you place value on integrity in your thinking and behaviour, and that you take pride in your membership of IRCA and act as an ambassador for the values we uphold.”
IRCA members will have to confirm that they have read and will comply with the new code of conduct when they renew their memberships. All new members joining from January 2, 2015, forward will be bound by this code of conduct.
